Books

I haven’t updated this page in a while, but don’t be misled – I read about 400 pages a week.  It’s just that I don’t think A Brief History of US Communications Policy, which is actually not brief at all, is worth sharing.  I’ll come up with something better soon, because I’m almost done with Straight Man, after a daily diet of about two and a half pages before I go to sleep every night.

Right now I’m reading Straight Man, a book by Richard Russo that I recommend for anyone who wants to have a good laugh at the expense of a dysfunctional university English department.  I’ve read this book about 20 times, but I end up laughing out loud every time. Any other books by Richard Russo are great.  I highly recommend Nobody’s Fool or Empire Records

I’m also reading The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins.  I haven’t gotten very far yet, and I’m not terribly impressed (I’m also biased) but when I get further in I will write a more detailed opinion on it.
